Hello from this side of the world

Why Flower Child? The term refers to someone who advocates love, beauty, and peace. If there’s a word that best describes my free-spirited persona, it would be flower child.

Born and raised in the sunny northern part of the Philippines and currently based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia working in an IT company. This online journal consists of life and times as an expat, raves about films, travel stories, and interesting excerpts from the world wide web.

My attempt to write started in high school. My English Advisor, Teacher Jev required the entire class to prepare an essay out of our ten weekly abstruse spelling words every Monday for one school year. It started with being randomly called to present then volunteering to share my piece. Gradually, I have fallen in love with literature.

Writing has been my outlet of unspoken stories collecting some of the best memories – from overwhelming happiness to mere desolation. There’s a sense of wonder reading previous journals realizing how more or less I have changed through the years.

Inspired by some of the great Filipino writers I’m following online, I’m glad I am writing more frequently. My aim is to spark the same feel-good effect to those who stumble upon my humble space on the internet. May we all always radiate kindness and sincerity.

God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved. Psalms 46:5

All the love,
Ivy

Hello Ivy, you had me at Anais Nin.

How can I get in touch with you? Hopefully to have a conversation about a community project I think you would be a good fit for.

    Hope to hear from you,
    V
